As you may have read in my previous post on invitations, Rocco decided on a snowmobile themed birthday party on his trail to turning two.
I was a little nervous about how I would pull it off in a fun and modern way, but with help from some friends and a little creative crafting on my end, it turned out better than I expected! And of course, one of my very best friends and favorite new photographer, Photography From Eileen, captured it all! I’ll be posting photos in segments since she caught so many of the little details on camera, allowing me to share so much!
Today we’ll be making a pit stop at the hot cocoa bar and snowmobile cake display.
With Rocco’s 2nd birthday just one month away, it’s time to for me to kick party planning into gear…eek!
Rocco’s roc-star 1st birthday party was quite the bash. And although the party isn’t as big for his 2nd birthday, I still feel like I have something to live up to. Especially, since he will be more engaged this year. Which is why I left the decision up to Rocco.
One of my best friend’s little sister is getting married this August and she asked me if I would help her plan the bridal shower. I was especially excited to take on the task, since I know these girls’ style so well, making it even more fun to select all of the special details.
If you can’t tell from my previous few posts, this summer has been filled with fun showers! And this past weekend we sailed into another celebration. This time, for my lovely cousin Elaina and her sweet baby boy on the way (who we found out will be named Henry at the shower)! We held the shower lakeside at my parents cabin with our aunties and cousins on my mom’s side of the family.
Recently, I helped plan a baby shower for a friend of mine (Sarah) expecting her first baby…boy! It was held the same day as the bridal shower I hosted for my future sister-in-law, so I helped her auntie and mama (who I planned with) stage and set up the night before.
This shower was inspired by the nursery colors (navy, green, white and grey), along with a few elephant accents, since they are one of the mama-to-be’s favorite animals. Our mission was simple, classy and sweet! Here are a few photos from the event (please excuse the iPhone camera quality…I wasn’t able to get my good one over there).
