Four years fly when you’re raising an energetic little guy! Our little hockey lover, Rocco, requested a hockey birthday party this year. We didn’t do a big one with friends last year, so we thought we would pick it up a notch this year. Besides the fact that I truly enjoy planning parties, he’s getting old enough now to really appreciate it, which makes it even more fun. It was actually pretty easy too, since we had a lot of the hockey decor on hand from his bedroom and toy collection. Here’s a look at Rocco’s “score, I’m 4!” birthday party.
Our almost two-year-old little boy continues giving us the joyful opportunity to relive our childhood memories, while witnessing his in the making. The absolute best part of it all is watching his expressions as he experiences new things for the first time. And this season, it’s all about Fall fun!
For our first Fall field trip, we headed to Apple Jack Orchards with Nana. We only had a few hours in the morning, so our goal was to find an extra toddler-friendly spot. Not only for our short time frame, but also for his short little attention span.
I can hardly stand to share these photos taken by one of my very best friends, Eileen. A business woman by day, a lifestyle blogger by night and now a photographer in between, this girl is passionate about all areas of her life. And her heart shows in everything she does. Rocco and I had the privilege of experiencing her new adventure behind the lens firsthand at a little mama-son session this Fall.
Over the past few years, my hubs and I haven’t been consistent Minnesota State Fair goers. We just kind of lost the desire and other end of summer happenings took precedence. However, we were both fond of the fair growing up and made great memories with great family traditions, so we wanted to share that same experience with our son, Rocco.
This past Sunday sparkled in champagne, pink and gold love as we toasted to my future sis-in-law, Jill, at her first bridal shower. She and my brother are getting married this September, so this event kicked off the wedding festivities for the summer. Bring on more! My mom and I hosted at my house and it was as blissful and beautiful as I had hoped it would be.
